This Privacy Policy explains how Trent Pain of Queensland, Australia ("we", "us", "our") handles personal information in connection with:
- the Pointless iOS application, including Pointless Basic and Pointless Pro (the "App"); and
- the website located at pointlesspro.app (the "Website").

2. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the App and the Website.
It does not apply to third-party websites, services, or platforms that may be linked from the App or the Website, including Apple services. Those third parties operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
3. Summary
Pointless is designed to collect as little information as practicable.
In summary:
- we do not require you to create an account to use the App;
- we do not ask you to provide your name, phone number, or email address inside the App;
- we do not directly collect payment card information for in-app purchases;
- purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store;
- if you contact us by email, we will receive the information you include in that correspondence; and
- the Website and our service providers may process limited technical data such as server logs, IP addresses, and similar request data in the ordinary course of operating online services.
4. Information We Handle
4.1 Information handled through the App
Based on the current design of the App:
- the App does not require account registration;
- the App does not ask for access to your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or precise location;
- the App does not include third-party advertising SDKs; and
- we do not intentionally collect personal information from you through in-app forms or account features.
If this changes in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy before or when the change takes effect.
4.2 In-app purchases and Apple
Pointless Pro is offered as a one-time in-app purchase through Apple's App Store.
Purchase transactions, billing, payment processing, and App Store account management are handled by Apple, not by us. We do not receive your full payment card details from Apple.
The App may use Apple frameworks, including StoreKit, to enable purchases, restore purchases, or confirm purchase status. Apple may process information as part of those functions under Apple's own policies and terms.
4.3 Information you provide if you contact us
If you email us at hello@pointlesspro.app, we will receive and handle information such as:
- your email address;
- your name, if included in your message or email signature; and
- any other information you choose to send us.
We use that information to respond to you, manage support requests, and keep appropriate business records.
4.4 Website information
When you visit the Website, limited technical information may be processed in the normal operation of the site and related infrastructure. This may include:
- IP address;
- browser type;
- device type;
- date and time of access;
- pages or resources requested; and
- similar server, security, or diagnostic information.
This information may be processed by our hosting provider, content delivery provider, domain provider, or other technical service providers acting on our behalf or for their own operational purposes.

- to Apple, where necessary for App Store and in-app purchase functionality operated by Apple;

- to third parties where reasonably necessary to respond to, investigate, or resolve an inquiry, support request, or complaint you have submitted to us;
- where disclosure is required by law, regulation, court order, or lawful request;
- where reasonably necessary to protect our rights, property, users, or the public; or
- in connection with a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
7. Service Providers
We currently use or may use the following categories of service providers:
- Apple, for App Store distribution and in-app purchases;
- a cloud hosting and content delivery provider, for Website hosting and related infrastructure;
- an email provider, for email and support correspondence; and
- domain and DNS service providers.
Those providers may process information under their own terms and privacy policies and may store or process information in countries outside your home jurisdiction.
8. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including operational, legal, accounting, and support purposes.
In general:
- if you contact us by email, we may keep that correspondence for up to 12 months after the matter is resolved, unless a longer retention period is reasonably necessary; and
- technical logs handled by our providers may be retained for the period set by those providers' operational and security practices.
We may retain information for longer where required or permitted by law, or where reasonably necessary to resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or protect our legal interests.
9. International Transfers
Our service providers may store or process information in countries outside Australia, including in countries where privacy protections differ from those in your home jurisdiction.
By using the Website or contacting us, you acknowledge that information may be processed by service providers in other countries where this is necessary to operate our services.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to help protect information we handle from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
However, no internet transmission or electronic storage method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The App is not directed to children under the age at which consent is required under applicable privacy law in their jurisdiction, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App.

Apple's App Store, in-app purchase systems, and related Apple services are governed by Apple's own terms, conditions, and privacy policy.
Nothing in this Privacy Policy limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded by contract.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
If we make a material change, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice through the App, the Website, or another appropriate channel.
